What is Counselling?

Many people have emotional problems at some time in their lives and feel they need professional help in dealing with them.

Counselling gives you the time and space to see your situation from a fresh perspective. Talking with a counsellor gives you a chance to think about what you can do to change your situation for the better.ÂIt provides you with a neutral environment in which you feel safe enough to explore complex or difficult issues in confidentiality.

Counselling can help with a variety of issues including:

·       ÂBereavement issues

·       ÂRelationship problems

·       ÂWork-related difficulties

·       ÂAbuse

·       ÂStress

·       ÂAnxiety

·       ÂAnger

·       ÂDepression

·       ÂLack of Self-esteem

·       ÂPost-Natal Depression

What to expect

Each session will last 50 minutes. During the first session you will be asked about what prompted you to come to counselling and I will answer any questions you may have.

From this we can agree a schedule and focus for further sessions.

You will not be charged for this first session.

Each subsequent session will be at the same time each week and charged at £40.

(Concessions are available in special circumstances).
